What I Wore…to the grocery store

Hi babydolls! The sun and heat finally made it’s way back out here in Paris, although a little too hot for me and my new baby dwarf  bunny (who I call Babu, short for baby bunny) to handle. Just wore this outfit out to run some errands and snapped these pictures. Couldn’t help but notice in post that I looked like strawberry shortcake. Not the first time though as usually people always thing I look like some sort of character (santa’s little helper, little red riding hood, etc.) but hey maybe that’s just my thing. I mean this blog is called Making Magique so fairytale references are welcome…

I’m wearing my new Miu Miu‘s that I got in the sales! Honestly you know how much I love Miu Miu, but I have been a little disappointed in the lasting quality of almost everything I have bought from them so we’ll see how long they last. Also wearing a Canotier du Marais bowler hat with vintage strawberry brooch, a Suncoo suspender skirt, American Apparel neon crop top, Sofia‘s bracelet, and a vintage beaded bag from my grandma.  This neon crop top is fast becoming my summer favorite! I will tell you more about my birthday bunny soon in my next post…you are going to love little Babu! See you around this week on twitter, facebook, and my inspiration tumblr!

P.S. Thank you so much to everyone for your birthday wishes and comments  here, on twitter, and on facebook! You are all such darlings and I never ceased to be charmed by your thoughtful words. Love to all of you!

The Coveteur

Hi babydolls! Do you know The Coveteur? I am sure you do! I love the vignettes the girls create of some of the world’s most coveted closets. I was feeling inspired by them so I thought I would do my own little shoot of my closet in their sort of style of photography. I love how they neatly group and arrange objects by designer, color, feel etc. Obviously my closet does not compare to the people they feature but I pulled out some of my favorite things for fun and played around…

What I Wore…to tea at the Biltmore

Well have we have missed you!  Time flies when your busy…here I was just going about my winter life and all of sudden today Spring arrived in all her beauty! Just yesterday I was bundled up in my coat walking Samantha home and then running for my front door to warm up. But today I woke up and stepped outside and I knew something was different. It wasn’t till I was on the metro scrolling my Twitter that I learned from this valuable information tool that indeed it was the first day of this most splendid season. To celebrate I thought this outfit was fitting for a post! Can you guess where these pictures were taken? I’ll give you a hint…it’s eternal Spring there and one of the most beautiful places in the world to me!

I made these little sockies several months ago and have been waiting for spring to wear them! I was inspired by Cocorosa’s Miu Miu tights tutorial. I think I’ll wear my little swarovski crystal and silk bow ones with loafers and heels alike now.

Speaking of Miu Miu, this bag has seen better days! I’ve worn her to death over the past year…one of my favorite wardrobe purchases of all time.

As for the rest of the outfit I am wearing a Nixon watch, vintage ring from my grandma, Anacolé crystalized wayfarers, TopShop pants and sweater, Uniqlo oxford button up, and my Repetto suede mary janes.

I can’t wait for sunny days in my favorite parks. For me Spring is a time of renewal. I pack up my coats and clean out my closet, open the windows and let the fresh air in. I also love to refill my playlists with happier songs that remind me of warmer times and days filled with friends and sunshine that are to come. Here are five songs to get you started (for indie electro pop lovers only)! Houdini by Foster the People, Under Cover Of Darkness by The Strokes, Bury Us by Starfucker, Perfection by Oh Land, Sink Let It Sway by Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Here’s a little snap shot via my iPhone of this first magnificent Spring day in Paris! Bye bye for now cuties!
