The Coveteur

Hi babydolls! Do you know The Coveteur? I am sure you do! I love the vignettes the girls create of some of the world’s most coveted closets. I was feeling inspired by them so I thought I would do my own little shoot of my closet in their sort of style of photography. I love how they neatly group and arrange objects by designer, color, feel etc. Obviously my closet does not compare to the people they feature but I pulled out some of my favorite things for fun and played around…

What I Wore…to sunset on the Ile Saint Louis

paris_sunset_01

Spring time change means more time to play in the sun, which is exactly what I did this weekend. Crowds are accumulating on the terraces of cafes, quais of the Seine, and the grass in the park, and I’m finding myself in these places more and more, in lighter layers and spirits, wishing every day was like a bohemian dream.

I’m wearing a vintage dress, H&M sweater, Jeffrey Campbell charlie clogs, and a Canotiers du Marais tophat. What are you wearing this spring? By the way this post title is a reference to a Ryan Adams song which is a reference to my second most favorite novel of all time by Hemmingway, which I refused to give away at last wednesday’s book club. Let’s chat this week on my twitter and facebook cuties!

The Pleasing Hour

Around four o’clock a soft light tumbles into this peaceful and plush little corner of home. Every item adorning this space has been thoughtfully selected over the years, a mix of vintage bargains from decades past and fresh white linens. Its perfection is humble though, and during this hour of each day it becomes particularly inviting for nap upon its disheveled down, cotton, and silk. It is truly the most pleasing of ways to spend an hour…

I am wearing Jeffrey Campbell Litas and vintage dress from Beyond Retro in Stockholm. I’m finding myself falling more and more for vintage feminine silhouettes like Beyond Retro‘s very own Elsa Bilgren. For these photos I was very inspired by Miss Pandora‘s Lullaby poses and The Cherry Blossom Girl‘s La Chambre Bleu frames. Of coarse it is my mummy French-Kissed who has snapped these photos and so wonderfully decorated this space, so please head over to her blog to leave your compliments if you like either :-). Kisses from Paris baby dolls!
