Live in Dreams

Hi babydolls! Sometimes it’s hard to find the balance between work and play. Lately in life I feel like there is no line to draw between the two. I am doing what I love and loving what I do: running around the city in coats and crinolines on errands with Emilie, cameras in tow playing muse for one another when we stop and feel inspired, work chat over mid fashion week lunches at Mamie Gateau with Valentine, setting up photo shoots for new projects and wrapping up work days with evenings drinking minty cocktails in Oberkampff. By a little chance and lots of work I try to step back often and realize I am living my dream, days like these make it ever more clear to me…

I must say again however this green beret was my mom’s in the 70′s and has been getting lots of wardrobe love from both Emilie and I! Such an amazing piece. Couture Week

Hi babydolls! Sorry for being a bit late to post this week. I wasn’t really feeling up to it but after some nice emails from some young ladies I thought you all deserved a bit more effort on my part. Wow time flies in the summer (especially when you are spending the whole thing working….gahhh!) seems like just yesterday I took these photos but indeed it was nearly a month ago during couture week. Couture fashion week in Paris is a bit strange, there is lots of stuff going on but definitely not that same frenzy as normal ready-to-wear week coming up again soon. Frankly they both give me a bit of anxiety as do the general bunch of what I like to call “LIKE OMG FASHIONNNNNN ” people (can’t explain) that, well, just take themselves and fashion a little too seriously. But I muster up the courage to go to the Julien Fournié a friend passed on some invitations to. I thought it was a good excuse to wear my new dress by Twist and Tango from ASOS…

The clothes were interesting! For the most part I am not sure I really understand who buys couture in this world but maybe some day I’ll be on of them! Anyhow despite it’s general lack of functionality I can always respect the craftsmanship in couture…

I really did like those elegant dusters with the menswear! Anyhow one fashion show is enough to last me a while…unless it’s Miu Miu, Chanel, Dior, Jean Charles Castelbajac, or Sonia Rykiel of course, héhé! Okay me and bunny are going to bed now, it’s been a rough week and we haven’t been sleeping well but luckily our new blog friend Kerith will be taking good care of him while I go to the states next month, so that will help me sleep at night a bit better. One good piece of news this week is that before the end of the month I reached my 1,000+ fan goal on the facebook fan page! Thanks so much to everyone who has liked the page there! Emilie’s Little Fashion Diary

Awwww geez…you guys guessed it! My little fashion friend is Emilie from My Little Fashion Diary. I guess you can’t hide a style star like her! We had the pleasure of rendezvous-ing a couple times this fashion week with Isabelle at Laduree and Hotel Crillon and passed by the Dior and Valentino shows. The weather has been so beautiful it was fun to take advantage of it by snapping some photos of Emilie in her red outfit in the Tuileries.
