Hi babydolls…well it’s Tuesday here and I am coming off a high from such a lovely weekend. You know those friends that always say they’ll come and visit you someday but never seem to show up? Well Mariell and Jostein are not these sort of friends. How happy I was to receive them in my little Parisian loft at the spur of the moment as we had talked about not long ago. Thanks to them I also had the pleasure of meeting the darling Sara and other friends! We made the most of their few days in Paris, staying out late, sleeping in, cooking up big breakfasts and spontaneous dinner parties , baking pumpkin scones, and heading back out to enjoy the city of lights in its night time glory all over again.

I feel like an honorary Scandinavian now after my weekend with the Norwegians! After they all left on Sunday I managed to get myself out of bed just in time for a Sunday walk along the Seine. It was such a beautiful autumn day. I am trying to cherish the last of them before the colder winter sets in and I take off for a month and a half of travels, but more on that later. In the meantime visit Mariell’s and Sara’s Paris photo diary posts. They both take such incredible pictures I am sure you will enjoy seeing the weekend from their perspectives too. See you around on facebook, tumblr, and twitter!
P.S. What do you think of my new web design? We have Mark to thank for it!

Your blue china is absolutely gorgeous!
Tu es tellement jolie et crazy sur les photos du manège!!!
J’adore ces photos comme “poudrées”, so Marie-Antoinette like, so YOU.

Those teacups….! To die for! These photos are all so magical.
I love your photos, especially the ones with the blue china, the baguettes and the croissantes!
Oh, nice photos! Makes me want to drink tea, in fact, I think I’ll have to go and make myself a cup right now ^^
Oh no, you’re leaving Paris?? I’m moving there in a month and was planning to track you down as I don’t know anybody except my bf and some of his friends.. Are you coming back?
Been following your blog for a while, it’s so lovely! I loved your Italy movie and this new one. I’ve been the fly on the wall for months, but will start commenting from now on. You really deserve it! <3
I am just going to visit my beau in South Africa for December and then to NYC and California a couple times before and after. By I will be stopping through Paris between my travels. Not leaving for the long haul…just for the holidays!
I see! Sounds excellent! I’m spending xmas time in Paris, should be good :)) I don’t even know how long I will stay there, hopefully for a long time! So, I’m kinda hoping to meet some cool people. I find it so funny that you know Mariell. I know some people she knows. Small world… well, small Norway ;)

To Do List:

2- Find that stylin’ girl frim Making Magique
3- Steal her fluffy pink coat
hahaha!
I liked both the old and the new site design, but the new site has a cleaner, more chic and mature feel to it, instead of cute and frilly like the older one felt. I like both as I said, but I think this new one is a nice step as your blog and career continue to unfold and grow. Bravo! PS if I may ask–do you use wordpress, blogger, or your own custom built website? Trying to plan my future blog project… :)
Bonjour, Haleigh! Am wondering what is the pattern name of the blue transferware scalloped cups/saucers/cake plate in your “Two days in Paris” post? I visit your site regularly. The pictures are so très bien, and such eye candy on these dreary, gray, rainy, cold days. Especially love the NY architecture (brownstones) on your recent vist to Fort Green. Merci!
Hi there! They are spode and out of production but I collect the vintage ones we can find here and there. I am not sure the name of the pattern but if you head over to my mom at French-Kissed and ask I am sure that she knows what they are! http://french-kissed.com
Thank you, Haleigh. Your mention of the maker was enough to find the pattern. Appropriately enough it is Fleur de Lis! xooo
