CASTLES IN THE SNOW

This month the grey ceiling that hovers above us in Paris all winter feels like it’s falling down on me. I mean this figuratively and literally, the pressure of the world just caving in my chest and making it harder to breathe. I’m sure I’m not the only one that gets this way…it’s a symptom of overwhelming responsibility and inflated hopes. People will always say to think positive and look on the bright side, but this time I think I spent all my optimism back in the year the world was supposed to end. Sometimes sadness is like the winter, you just have to wait it out. Keep yourself warm with friends and phoning home because it’s a cold world out there and were not always at our best to face it. For now, I’m okay with that. I don’t need to kick ass tomorrow before it comes as long as it snows now and then to remind me there’s still some magic left in the world. When it does I’m still brave enough to go out for a while and try something new…
