For Me

One of my readers reminded me “to be good to ourselves along the journey.” I’ve started by buying myself some nice new things and making time away from work for a new book. I’ll let you know when I get where I’m going. Pictured: Brigitte Bardot top,  BCBG platforms,  Rebelle sunnies, Bonjour Tristesse

That bridget bardot top would look perfect with a 60′s flick eye…And yes! Be good to yourself. Lately I’ve been treating myself. I live in France with no job and haven’t been able to indulge but I can’t suffer…I need to treat myself too!

The important thing isn’t to get where you’re going – it’s the fun you have along the way. And the pretty things you wear, too :) It looks like you’re going to be very well-dressed for your journey, I adore those platforms!

I couldn’t agree more Cee…teaching teenagers each day all I can ask from them is to cherish themselves, their presence in the world, their contributions and to just enjoy the mystery that life offers us each day – the journey! Haleigh is the perfect example of this with her creative blog. And part of the journey is definitely choosing new books and outfits to celebrate ourselves everyday! The journey must be fun, meaningful and by all means; fashionable ( and yes, with some chocolate !) too bad we all can’t be experiencing the journey in Paris, but we all have our own little Paris we can create on our own. Having our own soundtrack is part of it as well….thank you Haleigh!

Bonjour Tristesse is one of my all-time favourite books! Thanks for the reminder, now I know what my weekend reading will be on the patio. Enjoy the journey Haleigh, that’s all that matters!

Love Francoise Sagan – just read 5 of her earliest works this past winter & loved them all. So much so I purchased the old movie, Bonjour Tristesse, starring Jeanne Seberg. Made me long for summer. And have one question regarding your picture…where’s the chocolate? = )
