THINGS THAT MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD : WEEK N°2

Vena Cava’s latest “Fashion Film” for their Viva Vena! line featuring Lizzy Caplan and some super cute clothes. It’s directed by Matthew Frost who is one of my favorite photographers and directors. If you don’t know him by name then surely you know this clever little film for Jalouse he made with Ashley Smith not long ago? I love how he always makes fun of Godard references and lots of other hipster clichés.
Dreaming about and maybe even signing up for my very talented friend Leela Cyd‘s photography workshop in Florence this May! The week-long journey is organized around learning approaches and techniques to shooting interiors, foods and portraits (and drinking amazing wines, giggling, persuing creative dreams and eating divine foods!). Everything you need to know about the trip and making it happen is available here!
Falling in love with Mermaid…a mysterious, romantic, and ethereal scented collection of fragrance and candles. The design, concept, and smell are all so beautiful. The whole collection is on it’s way to me in the mail right now.
Whipping up one of these delicious gluten free vegan caramel smoothies by Lookbook Cookbook (a favorite site of mine!), wherever I’m looking for something sweet.
Starting a diary tumblr (like mine here!) to remind you of all the things in your daily life that makes you lucky to be you. My blog here is to showcase my photography, but my diary tumblr is like a scrapbook to collect my instragrams, photos of friends that don’t fit into specific stories told here, and even quotes of things my friends have said to me that I just love. Whenever I feel lame or sad I just go there and look at all the fun stuff I get to do and the great people I get to share it with and it cheers me up. I think everyone should have a memory board like this!
ACROSS THE BORDER
Two sleepy girls, we pulled ourselves out of bed by noon to make it across the border for lunchtime. Caroline was waiting for us in Arlon with a cook book of ideas to make sure we would leave anything but hungry. We filled up on warm banana bread and apple pie and decided a walk in the woods could do us good. It was like a fairytale, quiet and covered in white, mist hovering a top the trees of the forest at this pink chateau in the snowy woods. We walked the trails and imagined someday one of us might get married there. The sun was setting so eventually we went on our way. Back to Luxembourg, we navigated the snowy roads as the lights came on, leaving behind the country where buildings come in beautiful pastels and American friends wait for you on a Sunday with something home cooked and the perfect way to spend a winter afternoon.
